Now you have a family and as you’ve realised, time doesn’t slow down! Sometimes I’m asked when the perfect time for a family portrait is – the perfect time is right now, before it’s too late.

My name is Simon Kemp and I’ve had the pleasure of photographing families for over twenty years.

Now that my two munchkins are all grown up I know only too well how quickly time goes by. I am so glad I have photographs of the four of us when the kids were small. I realised there was no going back and no way of capturing those special days of parenthood and family life.

Many parents are never in the picture because they are the ones taking the photograph :)

Cleaning out the loft recently, I found this tiny pair of socks :) It’s hard to believe how quickly my two have grown. The eldest is 22 next month(!) whilst my youngest is 18 and away at college.

Hi and thanks for visiting my photography website. I am a family portrait photographer based in Spencers Wood, just south of Reading in Berkshire.
